Marks and Spencer, Blogger Meet

A suitably creative way to spread the word about fashion is to get all the fashion bloggers of the city together to experience the collection. And I use the word 'experience' because with the kind of fun hosts that M&S played for the bloggers meet, we definitely experienced the new Autumn-Winter collection in and out. The agenda of the bloggers meet was simple and fun. Get to know each other, divide into groups and play a styling game. Our task basically was to put together two looks from all the garments, shoes and bags available at the M&S store and talk about it to describe it. One look from each group was selected to be showcased on the M&S page to run for a styling contest and on the basis of popularity, a winner of the M&S Blogger Meet styling contest was to be picked.
Cutting the long story short, only because I cannot contain my excitement, by popular choice, my group won the contest! The group comprised of Aakriti of Beauty Gossips , Manvi of Labels and Love and me and we decided on calling ourselves Prima Donna Inc. Ok? Ok.
Some pictures from the meet. :)

The winning outfit. A scarf print(baroque) shirt, which we paired off with houndstooth print pants in slim fit, black pumps and this casual denim satchel to relax the uppity, print on print look.
What say? :)

Wine and star spangle

If you read the latest post, you would be updated about all that transpired at the wine and food sit down dinner organized by Four Seasons at The Lalit, Delhi. While food and wine did take centre stage, a fashion blogger is never off duty. A carefully planned out outfit deserved to be clicked and captured in its full splendor. For the glam factor of a wine evening, some bling never hurts. My star spangled silver tee called out to me especially when I was looking for something to go with my leaf/flower printed palazzo pants. I'm truly digging palazzos and even as Fall approaches, I have some great ideas to style palazzo pants. Giving structure and that je ne sais quoi to the outfit is my neon green belt that is my season's wardrobe staple. Rest, I leave you to judge. :)

Wearing:
Silver sequined shirt: Forever New, Printed palazzo pants: Street find (YES :D), Neon green broad belt: Only, Tassled bucket bag: Mango, jeweled flats: Random shoe store, Bangalore, Cuff with the purple stone: Jewelry store, Khan(Delhi), Rose gold watch: Marc Jacobs

Food and wine with Four Seasons

Four Seasons definitely knows how to organize events in true style. This formal sit down dinner organized by Four Seasons with Chief Wine Maker Abhay Kewadkar along with some of the best and biggest names in the chef fraternity and the media took place at The Grill, Hotel Lalit, Delhi. Over and above endless experiments with all kinds of wine, the evening saw a very warm and amiable interaction  between the chefs and media, including the bloggers. But before I even proceed to the pictures, let me just highlight the absolutely delightful food which was hands down, the winner of the evening. A full seven course meal which included the likes of cold hummus, gnocchi of the finest kind, little cold appetisers with zucchini and goat cheese, lemon and mint sorbet, a deconstructed black forest cake and a host of other things that I cannot even begin to describe. All this accompanied with a glass each of all kinds of wine because there is nothing like experimenting and picking which wine goes best with what on your palette. :)

Sneak-peek of my outfit.
What do you think? Hungry for some food and wine as you read? I know I am. :/

Dress up with Forever New

Forever New’s new collection called Tribal Muse is everything to love and more. Its definitely a collection after my own heart, what with the beautiful tribal feel, Aztec prints all coming together with a great kick off to the winter wear. The collection highlights feathers, birds and skin prints and some of my most favourite pieces that I played dress up in for the purpose of this post are exactly that. The subtlety of the prints playing against each other comes with a pop of color in the accessories and bags which is hard to miss. In the styling that I have done with my favourite pieces from this collection, I have played off the earthy tones with the brighter hues from the color palette. As per usual, the collection showcases some gorgeous pieces of accessories that are not hard to flaunt, even with the bulky winter clothing we wear!
Take a look and share your best looks with me J

The first look: Working a plain white tee with a crinkled light animal printed maxi skirt, a fur gilet and a full body bead work clutch in aztec. (In my favourite combination of orange and pink)

The second look: I love sequins and this sequined sweater dress in the dual tones of beige and grey with a contrasting full navajo blue necklace. The idea is to contrast the modern day concept of a sequined sweater dress with a slightly ethnic, full necklace.

The third look: A dark blue body fit dress in self print with an off white colored wrap and fully embellished clutch in white. The peep toes with the bow are in plum, offset by the combination of the clothing. Also, the cute, multi stone ring.

Look 4: The ponte peplum in black and white is absolutely adorable especially with the clean fit. Paired with layered gold earrings and a messenger bag in leopard print, you're all set to hit the city.

All pieces of apparel, accessories (Except the watch), bags, shoes: Forever New

Don't forget to replicate these looks if you like them, straight from Forever New online.
Also, ladies, very important, if you haven't entered the giveaway with Blueprint Coleccion and Anushka salon on my blog already, then do it now. Right here.

The Globus Fashion Week

Having shared a successful association with Globus for a while now, I was quite excited to be covering the Globus Fashion Week. And to sum it up in a sentence, it was everything Globus stands for: a fresh take on fashion. The Hunt for the next Face of Globus saw many rounds for the boys and girls who modeled around in everything from formals to casuals to ethnic wear, all apparel sponsored by Globus. The large and spaciously built Globus store in South Extension-I, Delhi was the ramp and the fresh faces were a delight to see! My special favourite in the lovely Globus collections was the ethnic wear. Adventurous and peppy. Perfect for this festive season. Take a look at the pictures. And don't forget to shop at Globus Online.

Travel and comfort

Pataudi Palace is all about the archaic royal beauty preserved in every aspect of the place. From the paintings and pictures that hang in the royal hallways to the bolts and knobs of the rooms that have been named after the nawabs of the Pataudi family, everything has its own old world charm. Very untouched by the hustle bustle of the fancy city lives. And which is probably what makes it a heritage hotel and such a delight to stay at. This was the day we reached. Travelled in my current favourite palazzo pants in a bright green and my striped tee to complement it. Comfortable chic.
Some shots of the interesting snippets of the Palace that I captured on the camera follow.
A few days back I had tweeted about a realization that I'm definitely feeling palazzo pants more than colored skinnies this season. Anyone with me on this? :)

Wearing: Palazzo pants: Street find (GK, market Delhi), Striped tee: Zara, Bag: Aldo, Sunglasses: DKNY

Bright Birch

Holidays are for the soul what ice cream is for the stomach. Or a hat is to your madness. Or a flower to the boho soul. Ok enough. You get the picture. A day's getaway at the Royal Neemrana Heritage Hotel (Pataudi Palace) did wonders for the mind and body. Quality time with the family, Spa treatment, reading by the pool and following that up with some wine. The royal spread, before I forget. You get the picture. And since this blog is about fashion and other things. I shall show you some pictures from the Pataudi Palace, in the next post.
Travel junkie (well recently joined the others) me says you ought to spend a day doing just about nothing and enjoying this royal retreat. Well, after the Saif-Kareena marriage of course. ;)
For holidays I pack in florals and brights. This scooped back yellow blouse from Kookai Australia is snug and girlie. Just the way I like them. Paired it off with my vintage-feel floral shorts with the golden anchor buttons.
The rest of the outfit, take a look. :)

Wearing: Yellow blouse: Kookai Australia, Floral shorts: Random store (GK-I, New Delhi), Necklace: Diva Australia, Turquoise ring + bracelets: Forever New, Oxfords: Zara

On another note, is anybody with me on scrapping mondays off the week? Just a thought.

XOXO
