Texture v texture

Summers mean color. Summers also mean sheer. Well, this year around summers meant prints on prints, bold colors against bold colors, and in this case texture v texture. Picked this outfit for the fun Koovs event at the mall. I wanted to go for something fun and still girly. Neutral with neutral and threw in bits of colored pieces. One of my most girly and laid back outfits off late, me thinks. Well, personally I loved setting off the pleated midi skirt in beige and black with an over the top ruffled blouse with cut-work in the ruffles. It can be a little tricky, but texture v texture usually works when you go for two simple works of texture and put them in together. Pleats with ruffles, in this case. Are you trying this trend this season? Tell me if you do :)

Wearing: Ruffled blouse: God Made me Funky, pleated skirt: Forever 21, neon pink belt: Kazo, Tote: Mango, Neon pink heart ring: H&M, peep-toes: BFF's :D, earrings with a coral and silver: The Village Shop (Hauz Khas, Delhi)

XOXO
