Indian fashion and lifestyle brands I am loving in 2025

At no point do I ever tire of browsing through the instagram and occasionally websites of homegrown Indian brands doing exceptional things. Not only is that because I truly believe Indian weaves and handlooms to be superior, I also really think the design sensibility will always truly be close to my heart. That applies not just to the fashion retail space, it extends to all other areas of design and aesthetics too. Kickstarting this series which I hope to share multiple parts on, here are the top five Indian fashion and lifestyle brands I am personally obsessed with at the moment. Collaborations disclosed.
  • Label Juanita (multiple collaborations on instagram): I first heard of Label Juanita in 2021 and four years in I can safely say, some of my most favourite and worn Indian outfits remain by her. If you are a clean, minimal with exceptional detailing and luxurious fabrics kind of a girlie, then this Indian wear brand is for you. Of course, she also released summer collections which had a fair amount of ditzy prints for the floral loving Indian wear girlies. My favourite pieces by her remain light silk kurtas, organza and chanderi dupattas and straight pants to match.

  • Niana (collaboration on instagram): If the luxe packaging of this home fragrance brand did not get you interested, their range of home fragrances sure will. It's a funny story, this one because I have been a loyal paying customer of the brand before I worked on an association with them and that should tell you everything you need to know about their home fragrance products. My favourite products are the eco-friendly soy candles. My top ranked one being mogra, eternal romance being the second and the cool fresh being the third. They do a whole bunch of other things like room sprays, scented sachets etc but the candles and the reed diffusers are my two favourites.

  • Norn India (collaboration on instagram): Print loving girlies, this one is for you. Norn is for the print-loving, comfort seeking, fuss free but impactful outfits creating women. I am usually not big on prints, stripes not included but I have been trying to be a little more adventurous with my print selections so this number in tones of red and pink was the perfect selection for a holiday in Phuket. This one is in a linen satin and I love their selection of fabrics in general!

  • Dhora India: Dhora is one of those brands with a great instagram presence because there's no way you have not seen their jewellery pieces around. Dhora does intrinsically Indian bits of jewellery and also a selection of more contemporary styles but everything with a lovely Indian edge. Think Rajasthani karigari but also available in a more modern setting. I found these earrings that I was instantly obsessed with and a slightly long gold cuff which while seemed a bit rough around the edges is quite lovely too. Would I consider shopping Dhora again? Most definitely yes, the workmanship to me seems very worthy of the price.

  • Nicobar: Nicobar reigns supreme as far as my love for Indian design and motifs packaged in a relatively affordable brand identity go. I have always loved their homeware especially their collections with more coastal inspired motifs. This time around though, apart from fawning over their homeware endlessly and buying a lovely set of wine glasses as a gift, I also bought myself a dress in a very classic me (clean shift) silhouette and a pair of long earrings with moons for motifs! The cotton dress in green (a beautiful Indian green, that seems to always be the most accurate way of describing that green to me) has already been worn, reworn and restyled since I got back from India and garnered tonnes of compliments along the way. Recommend checking out their fashion and jewellery line.
